We have an absolute passion for coffee. We roast carefully sourced beans in small batches to ensure a world-class cup, every time. We also have a passion for bringing people together and believe that coffee can be a catalyst for positive change.

We practice research and development aimed at creating products and technologies to utilize our industrial waste, namely coffee grounds and discarded beans.

Our vision is to foster a collaborative effort in coffee production, engaging in every step of the process— from farm to cup. Our relationships with coffee growers are ethical and collaborative. Roasting in small batches produces world class flavors and minimizes environmental impact. Through innovative research and development, we continually improve our sustainability by creatively utilizing coffee waste. Mindful of the whole journey our soul beans take, we can provide world class coffee while benefiting the global community.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Tindall.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ashley. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I come from a family of 12 kids, eight sisters and three brothers, in Colorado, I inherited invaluable lessons about hard work, responsibility, accountability, sharing, unconditional love, and the importance of community. All 12 of us are also extremely competitive, nearly all playing college athletics. I grew up playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Soul Bean Coffee is taking its sustainability initiatives to the next level. Launched a year and a half ago, the Ventura roastery’s passion of being a small, green business shines through in its efforts of waste reduction, community comradery and sourcing coffee beans responsibly.
Owner Ashley Tindall says that growing up in Colorado with a family of 12 really shaped her perception of the environment and how wasteful our society can be. A passion for coffee, community and conservation inspired Tindall to develop her own business. She also believes in giving back to the local and global community by paying coffee growers fair wages, and craft roasting small batches of single origin beans from a variety of regions around the world.
